P2TCCB Literacy

Path to College, Career, and Business (P2TCCB) is a literacy-first framework designed to support learners of any age who are below grade-level or skill-level in reading and writing.

Literacy is not an age issue.
It is a skill-gap issue.

What Is P2TCCB Literacy?

P2TCCB Literacy is a community-based learning framework, not a single app or curriculum. It provides structured support for learners who need foundational reading, writing, and comprehension skills to succeed in school, work, or entrepreneurship.

It can be implemented in:

  • Schools
  • Churches and community centers
  • Nonprofit programs
  • Workforce development sites
  • Adult education and GED/HiSET programs
  • Home-based or family learning environments
Literacy first, always: Reading and writing are gateway skills. Without literacy, testing, job applications, and financial systems become barriers. P2TCCB places literacy before credentials-based pressure.

Who This Serves

  • Early Childhood (EC–5) students reading below grade level
  • Middle & High School students promoted without mastery
  • Adults with low literacy or confidence gaps
  • GED/HiSET learners preparing for exams
  • Workforce participants needing functional reading and writing
  • Parents/caregivers learning alongside children
  • Returning learners re-entering education after life interruptions

This model removes stigma and replaces it with skill-building and confidence.

How It Works

1) Skill Identification
Informal or formal checks to identify reading level, comprehension gaps, writing confidence, and vocabulary needs.
2) Targeted Literacy Support
Focus on fluency, comprehension, writing fundamentals, and functional literacy (forms, instructions, digital text).
3) Confidence & Consistency
Safe learning environments, consistent routines, and progress-based encouragement—no age-based labeling.
4) Transition Pathways
Once literacy stabilizes, learners transition into GED/HiSET prep, workforce training, college readiness, or entrepreneurship.
Framework, not a product: P2TCCB is tool-agnostic and can work with facilitator-led instruction, small groups, tutoring, digital platforms, printed materials, and evidence-based reading programs—without vendor lock-in.
